The Elephant Camp is located in Punnathur Kotta. This Elephant Camp is one of its kinds in the world and is considered to be one of the largest elephant sanctuaries housing around 60 elephants. Most of the elephants are trained to participate in major processions and daily temple rituals. This camp is visited by several tourists every year. The rituals of Gajapooja (Worshipping Elephants) and Anayoottu (Feeding Elephants) are observed here

Thrissur Zoo or State Museum & Zoo, Thrissur (formerly the Trichur Zoo) is a 13.5-acre (5.5 ha) zoo that opened in 1885 in the heart of Thrissur City, Kerala, India. It is one of the oldest zoos in the country, and is home to the wide variety of animals, reptiles, and birds. The zoo compound includes a natural history museum and an art museum that showcase the socio-cultural heritage of the region. The Thrissur Zoo is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) from the Thrissur City center and is open from 10:00 AM till 6:30 PM, except Mondays. Still and video cameras are allowed in the park for a fee.

Athirapalli Falls also known as "Suren Chellakutti Falls" is situated in Athirappilly panchayath, Chalakduy Taluk in of Valparai, on the southwest coast of India. Located on the west-flowing Chalakudy River near the Vazhachal Forest Division and the Sholayar ranges, this 24-metre (80 ft) waterfall and the nearby Vazhachal Falls are popular tourist destinations. It is the largest waterfall in Kerala and is nicknamed "The Niagara of India".[1] Controversy about a state-proposed hydroelectric dam on the Chalakudy River above the waterfalls began in the 1990s and has continued through 2011

Marottichal is 15 Kms away from Thrissur Town, Kerala. A beautiful place which is still unexplored by eco-tourism. A place for trecking through forest and two waterfalls are the main attractions, Olakkayam and Ilanjippara. There is not even a sign board other than a small board fixed by forest department. So identifying the entrance of Marottichal Kuthu is bit hard. Two wheelers and other vehicles have to park on road side.
